Bob joined the firm in 1946 upon graduation from Michigan University Actuarial Graduate School and Northwestern University. He was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force during World War II with decorations for his service in combat.

Bob oversees all operations. He is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow in the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.

Bob has also served as President of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries as well as Secretary for several years previous. In addition, he has served as Treasurer and Vice President of the American Academy of Actuaries and also as President of the Fraternal Actuarial Association.

Over the years, Bob has served and continues to serve as a Director for numerous insurance companies.

Chief Pension Actuary

David joined Bruce and Bruce Company in 1999. He is a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and is an Enrolled Actuary.

David has a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Seattle Pacific University and a Masters degree in Operations Research (Optimization Methods) from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.

He brings Bruce and Bruce Company more than 26 years of experience in actuarial and financial services. David specializes in designing and maintaining retirement plans that will help employers provide retirement security for their employees, increase the employees’ appreciation of company provided benefits and enhance the employers’ business planning ability. In addition, David specializes in Traditional IRA, Roth IRA and SEP filings for clients with the IRS.

Grant joined Bruce and Bruce Company in 2010. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Charter Life Underwriter.

He holds a BS degree in mathematics from Tulane University and a Masters in Public Policy Analysis from Indiana University.

Grant began his career at Pan-American Life in 1972 and has served several life insurance companies and another consulting firm. He was elected to the boards of two companies. His duties have involved all aspects of life insurance and annuities

He has been active in the actuarial profession having been elected to two SOA section councils and also served on the SOA's Life Practice Committee.

Grant served the Smaller Insurance Company Section as Chairperson. He has spoken at professional meetings and written industry articles. He is currently on the editorial board of the North American Actuarial Journal.

Linda has been with Bruce and Bruce Company since 1983. She manages our computer oriented projects and is responsible for our computer systems and software.

Linda is also responsible for preparing the A.M. Best SRQ filings, financial reporting preparation, and cash flow testing support, among other consulting related projects.

She is currently enrolled in the FLMI program through the LOMA organization.

Bill joined the firm in 1954 following a two year stint with the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow in the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.

He is a past President of the Illinois Association of Life Companies, the Illinois Accident and Sickness Underwriters Forum and the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Lions.

Bill served as President of Employees Life Company (Mutual) from 1973 to 2008 when he became Board Chairman and CEO. Over the years he has served in various elected capacities for several other insurance companies.

Caroline joined Bruce and Bruce Company in 2014. She is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

A native of France, she holds an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics from the Université de Provence and a Master’s degree in Literature from Vanderbilt University.

Caroline began her actuarial career in 2006 and has worked with two large commercial insurers. She has experience in several actuarial areas including enterprise risk management, financial reporting, life and annuity product management and valuation, and long-term care valuation.

Her most recent experience has been with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago where she assisted with examinations of insurance savings and loan holding companies, including two large fraternal benefit societies.

CFO and Vice President

Jerry joined Bruce and Bruce Company in 1982. He is a graduate of DePauw University and has a Masters Degree from the University of Iowa in Health Care Administration.

He had many years of executive administration and management experience before joining Bruce and Bruce Company. Jerry's areas of specialization include life company administration, annual statement accounting and asset/liability matching projections.

Jerry is a Fellow of the Life Office Management Association.
